Dada's Wish List

Things you can bring or donate money for:

  • Washing machine (20,000 - 25,000 baht)
  • Powerpoint projector (used is fine!) (15,000 baht)
  • Vacuum cleaner (used is fine!) (3,000 - 5,000 baht)
  • Lockers for school supplies (4,500 - 5,000 baht)
  • More blankets, mats, and pillows for the children (100 - 300 baht each)
  • Dental care:
    • A visiting dentist who could do check-ups and other small operations for our children and the community would be most welcome in this area!
  • Funding for Office Space in Sangklaburi:
    • The office will be used as a center for eye care treatment, supported by Unite for Sight NGO, and general health education, including information on HIV/AIDS prevention. We will also connect with other community development leaders and organizations working on community self-help projects and offer our space to them. Other uses for the space involve displaying and selling our handmade woven goods from the Karen women's Weaving Enterprise, and a place for volunteers to stay in town. Rent will cost approximately 6,000 baht a month.
  • A roof for our truck:
    • We just purchased our first truck, a second-hand 2-wheel drive truck to be used in the mobile eye care program and for shopping, emergency care, and activities at the Home. A cover will allow us to safely transport people and materials in rainy season. It costs approximately 25,000 baht.

    and

  • A second-storey for the Home!
