Baan Dada provides a loving home, education, and a healthy diet for over 50 children in need, ages 2-19yrs. The majority of our children are from the Karen ethnic group, who are not considered full Thai citizens. This group lack educational and job opportunities, and basic health care in their communities. They are learning skills which some are already using to help themselves out of their plight and become independent, aside from attending normal school. Some of these activities are:

Painting and drawing Arts and crafts Sewing and weaving Mechanical and electrical skills Languages -Thai -Karen - English Music Cooking I.T. Traditional Thai Massage

Anyone interested in teaching a skill to the children is most welcome to come and volunteer their time. You can also help by sending educational litrature or funding for one of these or any other useful skills.
